Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JEBIM : Jurnal Ekonomi, Bisnis, dan Manajemen is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Our ethical code is based on the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Duties of Editors

  • Publication Decisions: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which articles should be published, based on importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal scope.
  • Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without written consent.

2. Duties of Reviewers

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and helps the author improve the paper.
  • Promptness: Any reviewer who feels unqualified or unable to provide a prompt review should notify the editor and excuse themselves.
  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear supporting arguments and no personal criticism.
  • Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

3. Duties of Authors

  • Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance.
  • Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide raw data for editorial review.
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure entirely original work and properly cite or quote the work and words of others.
  • Multiple or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not submit the same research to more than one journal concurrently.
  • Authorship of the Paper: Authorship is limited to those who made a significant contribution to the study.
