Plagiarism Policy
Zero Tolerance Policy INFOTERA: Journal of Integrated Information Systems strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism. We are committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct.
Detection Tool
To ensure the originality of the content, every manuscript submitted to INFOTERA is checked using Turnitin software before being sent to reviewers.
Similarity Thresholds
The Editorial Board has established the following criteria regarding the Similarity Index:
- Similarity Index < 20%: The manuscript is deemed acceptable for the review process (provided the matches are not clustered in the results/discussion sections).
- Similarity Index 20% - 25%: The manuscript will be returned to the author for paraphrasing and revision. The author must reduce the similarity index before resubmitting.
- Similarity Index > 25%: The manuscript will be rejected immediately without review.
Note: The similarity check excludes the bibliography/reference list and direct quotations.

- Paraphrasing without Citation: Changing words but keeping the sentence structure of a source without giving credit.
- Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant parts of one's own previously published work without attribution (text recycling).2

- Pre-publication: The manuscript will be rejected, and the author may be barred from submitting to INFOTERA for a specific period.
- Post-publication: If plagiarism is proven after the article is published, the article will be Retracted officially, and a retraction note will be published.
